70 years ago - 6th August 1945... around 8:15 a.m. Japan time, the B-29 Superfortress bomber "Enola Gay" from SQ 509 dropped the world's first 4,400 kilogram atomic bomb known as "Little Boy" above Hiroshima. About 80,000 people were killed immediately and 88,000 more people would die later from radiation. Although all those 168,000 lives are long gone, they are not forgotten!
