Istana Sepachendera : A Place Where Nightmares Are Real.

Istana Sepachendera, Kampung Baru, Alor Setar Kedah.
 This used to be one of the most beautiful buildings in Alor Setar but now in ruins and spirits walk within its wall. Rumours have been spread that the Japanese Kenpeitai (Notorious Secret Police) used this place to torture POWs during WW2 rather than to treat them and since then there have been screams heard amongst the rooms of the building.

Anyway, I passed through the area yesterday with Naomi, never once recite anything (3 Qul , whatsoever) and thank God the ghost never appear in my room or my dream last night. I told Naomi that we should never give a flying f@cK of the recurrent reports of a ghostly apparition being seen around here but instead we should be more worry and concern of those sinister politicians that keep stealing our stuff !!

 Untuk makluman, saya pernah bersekolah disini  dan anda dapat melihat dengan jelas Istana Sepachendera berdiri megah didalam gambar "old skool" di atas.

Hancur luluh hati saya sewaktu kali pertama menjejakkan kaki semula ke sini selepas hampir 34 tahun saya meninggalkannya.Kawasan yang dahulunya cukup bersih lagi menarik serta dipenuhi pokok-pokok berusia lebih ratusan tahun kini dipenuhi rumput lalang dan berkemungkinan besar menjadi sarang penagih dadah.

Malah keadaan Istana Sepachendera ataupun Istana Kampung Baru yang terletak disini dan pernah dibina oleh Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid pada tahun 1882 ini juga berada dalam keaddan yang cukup menyedihkan.Saya tidak pasti apakah tindakkan seterusnya daripada pihak berkaitan - sama ada membiarkan Istana tersebut jatuh sujud menyembahi bumi ataupun memang terdapat rancangan untuk pemulihan.

Untuk makluman, saya ada menulis sedikit nota kepada pihak terbabit namun sehingga hari ini tiada sebarang jawapan yang saya terima. Mungkin sibuk atau tidak berminat, wallahualam.
