Malaysia is the leading producer of natural rubber in the world. About half of the total world’s rubber is produced in Malaysia. Rubber is used for making innumerable articles ranging from footwear, sports goods, cushions, insulated material for cable to tyres and tubes. However, it is its use for making tyres and tubes of automobiles which is of greatest importance.

Rubber tree plantation of Malaysia. The hot-wet climate of Malaysia is most suitable for its growth.

Latex being collected from a tapped rubber tree. The trees will drip latex for about four hours, stopping as latex coagulates naturally on the tapping cut, thus blocking the latex tubes in the bark.

Erika also interested in rubber plantations in those areas.
