Langkawi Field Photography - Traditional Subject ( Part 2 )

Another quotes from Bryan Petterson inspired me again today - " There may come a day when setting a creativity correct exposure is all done by the camera, but I cant ever imagine a time when a camera tells you the best points of view or the best light conditions. There is one constant with the art of image making : the need to create effective and powerful compositions. This ability lies solely on you,the photographer and no amount of technology can ever take your place ( Not even photoshop!) ".

So, go out there, never be shy and keep shooting !

Yowayowa Camera ?

Meet Natsumi Hayashi - "owner" of the Yowayowa camera woman diary. She lives in Tokyo with her two cats and most of her photographs mainly levitating self-portraits and about her cats (but her cats not levitating). Armed with her Canon 5D MK II and Canon EF50mm F1.2L Lense, she makes levitating appear as if it happens normally and her photo skills plus her creativity was really "out of this world" !  My posting today is dedicated to this talented young woman.

You may visit her at http://yowayowacamera.com/ to view more stunning levitating photos.

Langkawi Fields Photography - It's A Bug Life.

I awoke one morning to find insects covering much of my garden. As one who believes that when life gives you lemons you should do lemonade, I was quick to grab my gear and shoot these beautiful creatures. I do get some outstanding photo that make me laugh, smile and sometimes even sad !

Let Nature Take It's Course.

I found myself experiencing a level of enthusiasm that seemed to have no limits. I was standing for about 20 minutes to get this image.

Macro Dragonfly.

Dragonflies have exceptionally good eyesight  but have very small and poorly developed antennae though..

Juvenile Praying Mantis.

I spent several hours in my garden last week photographing many insects who live here including this little cute creatures.

Wonderful Bugs.

I took the time and effort to " work the subject " and I'm happy with the results.

Black Witch ?

I began firing rapidly to captured these "witch"! Not bad, huh?

Camouflage Patterns.

Can you see me ?

To Bee & Not To Bee

I took this photo at Yatsugatake mountain in Yamanashi, Japan.

The Japanese Alps - Roof Of Japan & A Heaven On Earth !

A couple of months ago I mentioned on the blog how I wish to visit Kamikochi National Park in Nagano Prefecture, north of Tokyo ( Nagano Prefecture is often referred to as the "Roof of Japan"  ) Here are some photos from this trip, more specifically some of the wildlife I met walking around Taishoike, the lower parts of the river that is the centre of the national park. Due to it’s high elevation, it remains pretty cool even in the summer and nights tend to get chilly, as I discovered trying to sleep rough on the way up there to save on hotel money. As with all Japanese national parks, it is not the most tiring of hikes, easily enjoyed even for the elderly and children. I guess the Japanese perception of nature plays in here: no matter how much we wish to preserve nature, there’s a few vending machines even here!
Still, for a long weekend out of Tokyo, it is hard to beat in terms of sheer beauty!
Entrance is free but the ride there can get very expensive.

Happy Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day.
(From Nana & Erika)

I was immensely moved by these bouquet of flowers of which I received from my daughters during Father's day last week. I know that both of them quietly borrowed-from-a-neighbor flowers and collected-at-the-roadside flowers to surprise me with this .
Thank you, girls !

A Stroll In The Park - Langkawi Lagenda Park.

This is a continuation of my previous "The Lady & The Crocodile またまた伝説公園のワニ" post , about some random photography I did with my average lens and some local folklore. Today I found myself in the Lagenda Park of Langkawi again and so I spent a while wandering around with Nana & Erika and camera taking all pictures and learning new technique that takes photographs to a different level. I'm no expert at taking photos of nature, but I'm learning.....

The Croc And Her Little Friends.

Neglected ?
( I think the Municipal council or local authority should fix this )

You are a "Real Fisherman" and "Extreme Angler" if...

You are a "Real Fisherman" and "Extreme Angler" if...

1) You have a power worm dangling from your rear view mirror because you think it makes a good air freshener.
2) Your wedding party had to tie tin cans to the back of your bass boat.
3) You call your boat "sweetheart" and your wife "skeeter".
4) Your local tackle shop has your credit card number on file.
5) You keep a flippin stick by your favorite chair to change the TV channels with.
6) You name your black lab "Mercury" and your cat "Evinrude".
7) Bass Pro Shop has a private line just for you.
8) You have your name painted on a parking space at the launch ramp.
9) You have a photo of your 10 lb. bass on your desk at work instead of your family.
10) You consider viennies and crackers a complete meal.
11) You think "MEGABYTES" means a great day fishing.
12) You send your kid off to the first day of school with his shoes tied in a palomar knot.
13) You think there are four seasons--Pre-spawn, Spawn, Post Spawn and Hunting.
14) Your $30,000 boat's trailer needs new tires so you just "borrow" the ones off your house.
15) You trade your wife's van for a smaller vehicle so your bass boat will fit in the garage.
16) Your kids know it's Saturday--Because the boats gone !

and............You able to showing off the  fish you caught like we got (...week after week ! )
