Mahsuri - Another Legend & Another Tales @ Langkawi.

Makam Mahsuri is a area that memorializes a woman whom is believed in causing the fall and rise of Langkawi for seven generations. According to folklore, she was accused of adultery and executed by stabbing. Her tomb, Makam Mahsuri, has become a tourist attraction on the Langkawi island.

White-Blooded Lady

Basically, I’m enjoying photography without responsibility. This Mahsuri pix was taken at Kota Mahsuri in Langkawi.

The Curse .

Following the old Islamic punishment for adultery, Mahsuri was to be tied to a tree and stabbed to death. When they stabbed her, white blood flowed from her wound, signifying her innocence. With her dying breath, Mahsuri cursed Langkawi to have seven generations of bad luck.

The Tomb of Mahsuri. A nice place to visit, and worth paying the RM5!

Another Curse ?

It has been raining here every day for the past 4 days. The breathtaking view of the lush paddy field, rainforest and mountains now been flooded with murky water.
